Hey I've got an idea~

Hey I've got an idea~ your assignment in the next few... weeks or whatever, is to post up a picture of yourself (can be with others in the pic) in your new university environment. Get creative!

p.s. Josie/Tia, let's take ours together! :) We can make all the rest jealous of how we're still together! :D

Oh, and now the pictures...

I feel obliged to post one or two.. These are the ones I took during Summer Institute.

[This one is in lodge somewhere near Riverside. We stayed there for 2 nights]

[In downtown LA. Somehow we randomly went to the Chinese American Museum]

[]

[This is in a place called Boojum Institute -- we divided into groups and tackle group challenges. In this picture, we had to cross from one tree to another on wire - without touching the ground at all. If someone in the group fell, we had to start over again. They're fun!!]

hello! Yup, yup, I haven't been posting here for a while as well. It's still lots of fun here, and of course also lots of work, which is both annoying and fun actually.

I am taking this economics course at Claremont McKenna. Intermediate Macroeconomics -- I managed to get some credit for my IB result. Guess what? Tauseef is also taking the same course! But we're not in the same class; he's in another section. In terms of the content, it's not hard (yet). But I really need to adjust to the style of the professor -- he's really different from Mr. Jones, or Mr. Z, or even the professors in Harvey Mudd (Mudd profs tend to be somewhat funny and relaxed; he's pretty tense and serious; plus the way he words his questions is pretty ambiguous. It's hard to tell what he's asking about). Oh, by the way, just for the sake of saying it, he's from Germany. (He was showing us some German bills from after WWI, when Germany was having a hyperinflation. Pretty cool).

Other courses are cool. I love physics! We're doing special relativity right now.

Oh, and talking about special relativity, my economics textbook has a quote from einstein on the first chapter. I think it's quite random.

Anyway... It's weekend!! Yay! Hope all of you guys are having a good time anywhere you are.

pics from Bucknell!

This ones during international orientation... In the piano picture, the girl in not playing the piano wearing glasses is my room mate Grace (she has a stalker, tell u about that sometime later). The picture of the rally is when i went to new york to march for women's right and pro-choice issues. it was also kinda an anti-bush thing. The last picture is on my way to new york, when we got lost and ended up in this really ghetto town in New Jersey. anyway... i ll post beautiful pics of my beautiful campus later....

Mudd is a lovely thing~

Sorry, Adhira! I haven't been posting much (even on my own blog, jeez :P) because it's been so busy here at Mudd. I think I'm beginning to be less of a computer person... and that's really good! I've always spent a little too much time online anyway.

So what's up with me and Josie (aka Tia now)? Well, today we both just took an exam to try and place out of Chem... it went alright, we'll get our results back Monday. A lot of of the stuff is AP so we weren't too familiar with it~ I hope I can pass out the current class I'm in, it's not at a *very* challenging level. Most people in here have only taken one year of chem~ maybe I'll start tutoring on the side?

Math and phyics however are very hard. Hey, I forgot to mention~ one of my friends is incredibly smart, can you believe that in his school many kids got both the IB and AP diploma? That's hardcore... I wish I could have done that :P

I should probably tell you about some of the pranks we did (btw the hike to yosemite was great and really really fun)~ the second or third night of orientation we were woken up at 2 am to prank the rest of the 5 claremont colleges (aka the 5C's).

*sorry I stopped here because I had to go do something*

Anyway, us frosh ran all over the 5C campuses singing the Harvey Mudd chant (it's so cute!) and waking up all students from the other colleges in their dorm rooms, it was hilarious seeing people being roused and sticking their heads out of their windows to yell things back at us~ afterwards we came across these Scrippsies who were trying to ambush us with water balloons, but we had them too. I got three girls just with one balloon and another girl (who'd managed to explode one on my friend) with a second. It was cool, I escaped unscathed!

Any cute boys where you guys are? :) heehee I love the freedom of college. While I'm not crushing on anyone yet, the ratio is very very nice :) if just for having many guy friends. I never realized (to a full extent) the lack of good guys at ISM -- now I do! It wasn't me that was the problem, yay! It's amazing how smart everyone is :)

btw have any of you got AIM (I'm using Trillian, it's awesome)? my screenname on their is hkmargie1. Josie's kosine90 :D
