Whose heads are these??

i am bored right now; we were supposed to play tennis this morning but it was raining and the court was wet. hehehe.. sorry if the hair looks kind of white :P I might want to edit the pictures later on.

Pagsanjan waterfalls

This is what I was talking about yesterday... I think we should go there. I have been there and its quite beautiful. How does after IB results sound?

Pagsanjan Waterfalls
The municipality of Pagsanjan is located approximately 80 km or 1.5 hours drive southeast of Manila. You will reach the take-off point of La Corona de Pagsanjan a very interesting hideaway. Using a small canoe with two local guides, they will bring you upstream the Pagsanjan River until you reach the waterfalls passing through fascinating tropical virgin forest landscape and canyons. You can have the option of enjoying the waterfalls on a bamboo raft. After two hours of stroll and relaxation on the falls they take you back at breath taking high speed, shooting the rapids to the starting point. That is why Francis Ford Coppola for his movie "Apocalypse Now" chose this scenic place. This site is a must for any visitor in the Philippines. It is recommended to bring changing clothes since you will be getting wet.
Lets see if I can get the pic to appear...

So... how does it sound? I was thinking 8th of July (Thursday) coz Josie has to leave for Indonesia on the 10th or something. Its fine with me even if we go before teh IB results. Is it alright with you guys if my cousin comes along? I dont really know if hes fun or not so dont blame me later ;)

Pagsanjan Falls

So Adhira has suggested that we take a trip to Pagsanjan Falls in Laguna. It's about an hour and a half drive, considered quite close to Manila... anyone up for it? Although I'm not sure how we will get there (if we go by ourselves), I think it's a great idea. I'd love to go travelling with you guys. We can shoot the rapids, see Spanish churches, have a picnic and stuff. What do you think?

Here are some pictures if you need convincing:

Oh yeah, and a *very* rough map. I know exactly where Splash Island is (right next to Southwoods), so the map shows that its further down the South Super Highway:

I'm back in Manila!

Hi everyone! I just got back a few hours ago, and boy am I exhausted. In the next week or so I'll be busy packing, because we're moving to an smaller 3-bedroom apartment in Alexandria (in Ortigas... nearer to Gracia) -- it's closer for both my mom and dad to go to work :) I'm going to miss my house and the swimming pool / garden :( I've lived here forever...

Oh well, the place will be a lot cleaner :) and besides, it's not like I'm going to be staying here anyway! :)

Hong Kong was lotsa fun! I mentioned before that I went swimming at the beach. I bought a lot of swimsuits... there is much more choice there than in Manila. And I have a new external harddrive (30GB) which was about the same as the cost of a flashdisk. Lots of shoes :) I think going for a week was very nice.. everyday I got to go out. Usually when we go for a long 2-week stay there, I'm forced to stay at home and do stupid babysitting. Hehe, so a short trip is an excuse to go out everyday! Oh, and it's awesome, because my cantonese has really improved. And we found these awesome, awesome stores in Tsim Tsa Tsui that have the wackiest, most unique clothes ever! And reasonably priced, like 700 pesos for the great, great quality. They have their own in-house designers and everything. There are no two pieces in the store that are alike. I got this sexy flowery green-brown print dress-top, and a pink hippie flowy-number :)

I got lost at the HK airport :) laugh at me, yes I did! It was embarassing, I'm 18 years old and I still got lost! Yeaaaaa. Because I go to a separate immigration counter when I arrive in Hong Kong for 'Visitors' (US citizen) while my mom and sister go to the 'Hong Kong Residents' counter which is much faster. Anyway, my mom said I'll meet you "outside" which I misunderstood.. it was really vague. So I went past customs -- didn't see my mom who went away to the information counter to ask something. They had to page me and everything :( because once I went out, I couldn't go back in (a mistake I immediately realized after I had gotten out). So yeah, obviously had to talk to the guards in Cantonese :( explained the situation so I could call the information desk phone number and get found :P

I've a few other stories to tell, heehee. May I please play tennis with you and Adhira, Josie? Sometime, if you're going to do it again. If you have nowhere to play we can take a day trip to Southwoods, my treat :)

p.s. Everybody check out adorable Adhira's blog! She hadn't been posting here, because of something wrong with her old account. I've just invited her to join again, using her new account (the one used with her personal blog). She should be back up and posting soon :)

Margie from HK!

Hey darlings!
In the Kowloon station sneaking a free blog while my mom browses the stores :) the shoes here are SO cheap! Like 130 HK dollars or 900 pesos. And stylish too. I heart! But the metal keyboard is shit. I dont get to go across the border to Shenzhen cuz the US sucks and made going to the states exp. for chinese. Thus China reciprcated by making it cost 450 HKD for me if I wanna go there. O well, everything is cheap here too. Me got an awesome red tankini. And visited the beach at Sai Kung (where u stayed gracia) and it was SO crowded. ok bye for now

Lovely pictures

Pictures of our lovely outing are uploaded here. here are the highlights, in small form:

As you can see, there were many highlights :) appreciate that I risked my camera taking all those pool photos of you guys!

p.s. Hey I have an idea -- there's a lot of music on those two cds to get through, so let's try a coordinated listening effort. Listen to Bad Habits by Thin Lizzy and Black Dog and Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. They're in the 70s section, CD1.

Listening to: Bad Habits - Thin Lizzy

Hey Tanika!

You post pictures alongside text like this:
<img src="http://www.whippinpicadilly.cartoonhit.com/banana.gif"
align="right" hspace="10" vspace="10">[add text here]

The align="right" tells it to move the picture to the right, the vspace="10" hspace="10" instruct it to leave a space of 10 pixels around the image, both in the vertical and horizontal directions -- this is so your picture doesn't start right next to your text, which looks cramped. It should look like this paragraph.

Just came back with Josie from Ada's end-of-school-year party. Karaoke was cool! Gracia -- hurry up and post those pics you took of Josie (and Adhira?) singing :D

Also! You, Tanika, are always complaining about a lack of blog ideas :) Maybe you could use this? If you are totally bored. Otherwise you can always steal from me ;)

A Modest Proposal

Gracia has been complaining that even though I'm still here in Manila, it's like I'm out of the country~ because she doesn't see me at all. So! I propose that we go swimming in Josie's pool, which anyway I've been meaning to do. What about Tuesday afternoon? How does that sound?

[is that a good time for you Josie?]

By then I will also have made a nice mp3 cd of music for you and Adhira to listen to! [it will have stuff from every decade~ starting with the 50's to the 90's]

hellow!

having nothing really interesting to share, i think i'll just let you know a small progress in my 'summer music research' =P

i just borrow three CD's from my sister. i havent actually listened to them yet, but i will (really!). I borrowed AC/DC's 'Back in Black', Green Day's 'International Superhits', and Thursday's 'Full Collapse'. i wanted to borrow only that AC/DC CD but i also saw the green day one; and my sister recommends thursday, which is supposedly an emo band.

and they're all original (i have no idea how she gets the money! =P Hehe.. i know this is the opposite of margie's belief - and actually i also dont really get why we should buy original CD's if we can download them freely from the internet. maybe as collectibles.)

Parce que je suis une dorke

Parce que je suis une dorke, I'm reposting Tanika's pictures of us. Credits to her :) Okay, admitting real reason. I miss you guys already!

I love how Tanika manages to fit herself in lotsa the photos :) it's the cool swivel thing on her camera that makes it possible.

update: Tanika has large-sized pix of the CIBO lunch. yippee!

Is 6 a better number than 5?

Gracia argues that 6 is a better number of contributors to this blog because 6 is a (mathematically) perfect number with six being equal to the sum of its proper divisors (1, 2, 3) Hence, we should add Asako to this blog. Hehehehe. I don't think so!

5 is cool because 5 is holy. If you've read The Da Vinci Code, you'll know that the holy pentacle (star of david) has 5 vertices :) hence, no asako.

Bad Tanika! No more posts with such wide pictures!

music! music!

i listened to the white stripes' songs from tani today. whoho, i quite like their songs!

so, to what genre does the white stripes' music fall into? i'm guessing, some kind of rock?

i've figured out that i dont like hip hop and probably r&b, but cant really tell the difference between hip hop and r&b. i remembered someone (was it margie? tani? someone else?) said that if you have difficulties telling the difference, hip hop is mainly sung by bling-bling-guys and r&b by girls. aside from those two, i think i can to any kind of music. anyway, is there any real difference between the two?

My witty comeback

Oh! Not keep in touch, eh? It's stupid not to keep in touch with the awesome people you know, Gracia, because it's like burning bridges right after you cross them! :P [gracia told me to put this up, because my comeback was so smart :D]

Lunch on Wednesday is a kickin idea :) Except Josie has some ICARE thingie... (do you have to go, Josie? the school year's over anyways!) maybe we could change the time to dinner on Thursday? Tanika you can do your shopping before the dinner. Also, Gracia and I both think we should eat at CIBO (yummy, good italian food). Friday's has crappy food, its also expensive. I'm not in the US yet! I shouldn't be made to eat huge portions!

:) Josie and I were also thinking, maybe we could go swimming at her house? I love her lagoon-type pool. I dunno if you guys like swimming, but I'm gonna go.... when's a good time for you, Josie?

as Gracia says, "I love this blog already"... ciao!

p.s. has anyone ever seen the movie Swimming Pool? (see pic)
Its European (some of the dialogue is in French) and it involves mystery and woman-girl sex. Anyone? My copy of the dvd didn't work, so I never got to see the kinky ending :P
