hehe... I feel stupid

Thanks for putting in the title for me margie... I thought the blog wasnt working or something :p Thanks a lot everyone for remembering my brthday! Thanks for the card Josie and ignore my "PS" message. Three sentences and they all begin with "thanks" I need to expand my vocabulary.

I had more fun than I had expected yesterday. I was just "hanging out" with my parents coz theres no one here. We went to a new Indian restaurant with live music for dinner and it was awesome coz my dad knows the singer guy and he sang happy birthday in hindi. Made me feel special :D

I cant wait to see margie and josie in manila and we should definitely have a sleepover! If only tani and gracia would visit the Philippines too... This time I didn't forget the title.

Adhira!

Hey Adhira! :D
Oh woweee, I'm excited I get to see you this summer! My dad booked my flight for Aug 6, the day after my program in HK ends :D That means I have a few days to hang out with you... you me and Josie should have a sleepover, just like a buncha girl friends :D What do you say?

Gracia is going to work in Tennessee?! There's absolutely nothing in Tennessee. Oh god.. you might get a very bad impression of America. Tennessee has no racial diversity, is incredibly conservative, and is home to southern accents. Aii! Oh well, it could be worse. It might have been Texas! ;) lol

Josie, do you want to see the opening night of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith? Andrew Kuntjuro says he can give us a ride. Its $9.5... and IMAX!! Thu 5 pm?

Hello Tani! :D I love your taste in comics!

Adhira forgot to put a title for her post (says Margie)

I am back in the philippines! Its very hot and I am unable to leave the house... but, its nice to have good, spicy food and a big bathroom :) I just while away my time all night on the internet and sleep during the day. I know I have asked this before, but i'll do it again anyway. Josie and Margie, when are you guys gonna be in the Philippines? I am leaving the 10th or 11th. Hope I get to see you guys.

wohoo

I'm so glad this year is finally over! Well, not really. I actually really enjoyed everything this year. And knowing that there are one less year left in college is really scary. Have to plunge into the real world very soon, and no more of the happy-freshmen feeling.

Thanks a lot for reading + commenting on my blog, Tani :) (and also to Margie and everybody!) Sometimes I'm not sure if I should write this kind of things, but turns out that it's all right :)

Tani: Noo! Actually I really enjoyed reading your LJ. Shallow or not depends on people's interpretation, I guess. I like reading spontaneous blogs with a lot of variety of topics like yours and Margie's.

On death again: Yes, actually I have had that kind of thing about my parents too. I remember in elementary school, we -my parents and I- were talking about the year 2000 (it's just something that's pretty cool; it's no longer 19-something). We were counting years, and how in 2000 I'd be in middle school (sounded very grown-up at that time). I counted and realised that in 2000 my parents would be 40-something year old. And to me, it looked really old, and I was really ... scared(?) thinking about parents getting old. I've seen pictures when they're in college. They still talk about their college experience as though it only happened a few years back. Time goes by really quickly; without realising it, we will be parents too, and our children will be in college talking about growing up, perhaps.

Anyway, I'll stop putting heavy-saddish mood here :P

Margie: Yep, I saw SinCity. It looked to me more like Kill Bill III or something. The techniques in making the movie is really cool; but the story itself... umh.. Good luck studying, Margie. I'll be studying too today... Oh oh, and I want to go swimming too some time. Maybe next week.

Adhira: Yes yes, we want to see pictures with you in it too! By the way, I will be back in Manila around August 8. Margie said we'll only have 2 days to see you! two days??!! We have to plan lots and lots things to do together in that two days!

Grace: Epidemaniac is cool. Disease Girl is funny :D Either way, they're cool names. Tell us when you start the blog!

With me... One exam is down! I finished my discrete math test this morning. I'd been pretty nervous about this exam; really glad that it's over. Still have 3 more to go.

And then 6 weeks of math courses coming up right after final exam week.

And then I'll be a teaching assistant for a math course at CTY, the summer program for middle and high school students that Margie went to. This will be another 6 weeks of math (yumm... maybe). The course is an individually paced one, for 5th and 6th graders.

Glad to hear from all of you guys :)!

Ooh

Epidemaniac? :P Ok ok, although I think Disease Girl has a better ring to it. People will certainly remember it better ;)

Sicilian Cavalier indeed! (Although I bet he doesn't have an attitude that's cavalier, that would be bad..)

Tani, I know what you mean. It sucks to feel rejected, even when you know you're the awesomer person (I can't believe I said awesomer :D) I've my share of experiences with spineless, boring normal people. Problem is, in high school and things, they were also really dumb. But here, some of the spineless, boring people get the same or better grades than me! Kind of funny, but aiii I don't like it :) Me also dislikes people who are these perfect commercial stereotypes... Artistic punk. Drunken party-whore. Good Christian Girl. Multiethnic hot chick. Drunken jock. Asian hot chick. (like, having no specific ethnicity. Just "Azn"). Poo poo. I'm not going to be categorized!

How come they can't be friends with the both of you? That works. Hmmm. If Shriram calls you, I should be able to too! (What's your number? You're the only person whose # I haven't gotten)

I had the episodes of gripping fear too, especially when I was little and trying to sleep. Even though Joyce would be next to me, I'd sometimes be so petrified I'd run to my parent's room and jump in between them. Then I'd ask my Dad, is it true I have to die one day? Yeah, it was scary and it happened numerous times, though as I got older my fears were more about ghosts and spirits than dying. Hmm, I've grown out of it though (thank goodness). Oh yeah, tis desensitizing (I think).

I didn't edit the post :) But yeah, send me a pic :D

Exams are coming up quick. My plan is to study for most of today for the math final. Then take it either tonight or tomorrow morning. Then start on reviewing physics and chem. Hmm, I'm also supposed to finishing watching Hitchhiker's Guide with Nate. Go to the pool one more time, and bring Kenn with me. Hang out with Tia, if she has more time... :D Have you seen Sin City?

ps. Have either you (Tani) or Gracia heard of Gomez? :D They're from the UK. I saw em and Cake play at UCLA. Oh gosh, I LOVE Gomez. They were my favorite band right after Oasis (haha, I think they're my number one UK band now because Oasis really sucks now) Tani, I definitely recommend them... very jammy. Hm. If I send you a cd of theirs, will you listen to it? I remember I owe you a CD too, Adhira :)

Newness!

Hey Gracia, Adhira! :) Great pictures!

I suggest Disease Girl, Gracia :D No, I'm totally serious. Epidemania sounds like a psychiatric term.

Margie's blog address is now changed to hkmargie.blogspot.com!

Hey, I was thinking. Do any of you want to change your profile pictures to the right? I already changed mine. I'm sure you'll all grown more beautiful in the past year, our pictures should reflect our new appearances? Just a thought. I like my hair long-ish now. I can do more with it, put it in pigtails and such.

For your new pictures, the requirements are that it be 150 pixels wide, and a reasonable length to make it semisquarish (not like 600 pixels). If you don't know how to resize pics well, you can just email me a link to it (host it for free at imageshack or photobucket) and I'll do it. Otherwise, you all have admin access and can do it. Just don't wreck the blog! Aii ;)
