Chuu chuu waka waka pee na su (just say it!) :D

Hello all!

It was Tia's 19 birthday yesterday and we had a surprise party for her with a homemade Dilbert cake and all. I was very dumb though, and I brought a camera but no batteries (dammit! will get pics from Gena I guess) oh yes, and we were watching unbreakable last night but somehow I fell asleep in the middle of it.

Classes are going great :P Hum class is absolutely fantastico (we're doing Women, Culture, Words, and seeing lots of bloody good films) My prof really reminds me of gracia, cuz of her dutch accent. Damn its good to have a non-american teacher again :D In last class, I swear we had more interesting revelations made than was made in the entire semester of our last hum class :P I think films are really just able to capture people's imaginations... and of course, unlike a book -- there's no excuse for saying you had to time to watch a film! :D

I'm taking bio again! *celebrates* Gosh its been so long. But bio just makes me so happy~ and it comes much more easily to me than Physics (as great as it is to be doing classical mechanics again). One question: When are your ballroom dancing classes Tia? And where? (Pomona?) I have a really heavy Mon-Wed-Thu schedule but it sounds like fun! I can't take the salsa dancing classes on Wednesdays at the LAC (waah) because of ID Lab (wed) and Hum film nights on thursday. So sad.

Hope you're all doing lovely!

Love,
Margie

p.s When are your birthdays Adhira and Tani?

Thank you!!

Hehe.. Thanks a lot!!!

Margie: It's a fun day today. And, thanks a lot for the bears!! I put them above the light thingie above my bed =)

Adhira: At last! Some words from you! yay =) Ah, what can be more exciting than physics? =P and econ!

Tani: Hmmm... there will actually be someone's birthday soon... Around a month from now... I wonder who that is... ;P We will remind you about that, of course =D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSIE!!!

Soo.... how are you celebrating your birthday?! Wow! You are taking such coooool classes josie! My classes are the same old boring things like physics and econ, I wish I could do some interesting stuff too :(
I had plans of ice-skating for tom, but we are expecting 5-8 inches of snow, so that plan had to be postponed...
So Tia wants to hear something interesting? Well, I went to really cool village in India and it had a lake and temples and everything - gorgeous!
Sorry, I havent been posting a lot of stuff, I never had time in India coz I was travelling the whole month I was there. Anyway, I promise to post more stuff :D

Wahoo...

Go, Tani, you can do it! But... exam on Saturday? (Not that bad, but why Saturday? Isn't it supposed to be a weekend?) By the way, what exam is it? Oh, and good luck!

I know... Adhira seems to have disappeared! noo...

Courseload... Ahhh! I'm really scared... Actually, stuff like physics shouldn't be too bad. We're back to the classical world instead of the more mind-scaterring relativity and quantum. Well, they're not really bad, actually. More interesting, perhaps, but classical physics is much more comfortable to do... Taking 3 math courses, 2 labs (so.. two 4-hour labs a week). I'm taking a hum course titled Psychology of Sex and Gender -- it should be interesting. I really want to know what makes male-female different; how we think differently, etc. Oh, and I'm also taking a ballroom dancing class. Should be fun. Get to meet people from the other colleges as well.

(But, enough about my courses...)

Anyone has anything interesting to tell? (or at least, slightly more interesting than school, classes, and the kind)

Another reply of many replies

Margie: It was awesome =) I think we should schedule more msn meetings like that!

Tani: Really?? Glad to find out that it's not just some meaningless whining. Of course you can turn them into lyrics! That's great! Let us know when it's done =)
